  • Show Your Support for the Acworth Police Department!

    Written on October 5, 2015

AP Magnets2The 11th Annual Taste of Acworth will take place in the Historic District on Main Street, Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Acworth Business Association and the City of Acworth sponsor this popular event every year that benefits numerous local schools and charities in our community. Be sure to mark your calendars and come out and show your support!

This year, you can also show your support for the local police of Acworth by getting a bumper sticker for your car that says: I SUPPORT ACWORTH POLICE. They are FREE, paid for by local sponsors.

Many of the local businesses at the Taste of Acworth will have these at their booth. The Silverbach Group, Christian Brothers Automotive, Brookwood Christian School, Dogwood Forest of Acworth, Herron’s Coffee & Wine Bar, Slyman Real Estate, Happy Trails Pet Center, Pearl’s Spa & Boutique, and other local businesses have all joined their efforts to help us pass out these bumper stickers for our vehicles so that we can show support for our local police department.

How can you help the Acworth Police

    1. At the Taste of Acworth, ask for a FREE sticker and display it proudly on your vehicle.

    2. Be a tipster: If you see, hear of, or know of any crime in the area, call your local police department and give them your crime tip. Help the Acworth police with your crime tips!

    3. Follow them on Facebook for crime tips, local alerts and community posts: https://www.facebook.com/Acworth-Police-Department-125989961574/timeline

    4. Follow the local Silverbach Group on Facebook for local updates on Cobb county: https://www.facebook.com/KennesawAttorney

    5. Consider joining the Citizens Police Academy. This 12 week course gives residents (21+ years of age) the opportunity to interact with officers and receive basic understanding of how the police work and what they are required to do in a days work.

By taking the course, you also receive a basic firearms introduction, and some instruction about firearms. After you graduate the course, you are invited to ride along with an   officer. This course is helpful to informed citizens who want to be involved in their      community.

We hope to see you at the Taste of Acworth! If you want to pick up your sticker ahead of time, stop by our office at The Silverbach Group.
