    Morris A. Nunes

    As a veteran business attorney, Maury brings a wealth of expertise and experience to The Silverbach Group. Prior to relocating to Georgia in 2012, Maury practiced law for 39 years in the Washington, D.C. area, where he specialized in business counseling and transactional work. His practice focuses on representing and counseling privately held businesses, their owners and the owners’ families, as well as non-profits and trade associations. Maury is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, where he concentrated in finance and accounting.

    Maury currently lectures as a Continuing Legal Education instructor for Law Line and for The National Constitution Center and previously taught legal courses at his alma mater, Georgetown. In 2013, he retired as a part-time Adjunct Professor at Catholic University’s Law School and Georgetown University’s MBA Program.

    Maury was appointed and reappointed by Virginia’s Governor as Chair of the Board for Professional and Occupational Regulation, which oversees licensure for commercial activity, including, among others, Realtors, Contractors, Appraisers, Cosmetologists, Architects and Engineers. He has served as a board member of for-profit and non-profit organizations. He is the author of 5 books, including, among others, Balance Sheet Management, The Right Price for Your Business, and Basic Legal Forms for Business, as well as numerous professional articles. He is currently under publishing contract working on his 6th book.

    Maury is licensed to practice law in Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, and various other federal Courts.
